Fancy a break from the usual Christmas queues and high street stores this year? Lebury is a wonderfully different place to go gift shopping and soak in a more relaxed festive atmosphere. The town is packed with brilliant boutique stores, artisan gifts, tasty produce and a whole lot more than you expected. Squeeze all these brilliant things into a beautifully historic setting and you can see why Ledbury is one of the best loved destinations for Christmas shopping in Herefordshire. H-Art Christmas Fayres at Studiocrafts (Dec 5& 6, 10am-5pm HR8 2EY)
This fantastic event celebrates the best of local crafts and handmade goods with a rich variety of artisan traders. Paper cuts, art prints, Christmas decorations and unique felt toys are just some of the great things to browse here. Ideal for picking out that one-off gift for someone special, or fussy! Ledbury Town and Late Night Christmas Shopping
Ledbury is full of pretty streets and curiosities at any time of year, but at Christmas is a particularly great time to delve into a whole little galaxy of bright, original shops. Have a good browse and be sure to take in the nostalgic charm of cobbled streets and historic buildings as you go! Don’t forget, there is also late night Christmas shopping too, with most stores opening till 8pm on each Thursday in December 2015. Potter’s Wheel Workshops (Dec 19th 10am-4pm, HR8 1RD)

Have you caught the pottery bug yet? With the current success of BBC 2’s Great Pottery Throwdown interest is high and plenty of crafty types are learning or rediscovering this fascinating art form. The Potter’s Wheel Workshops are your chance to learn from the experts in a friendly group setting. £120 covers all your materials and lunch, while there are also further courses planned for 2016. The Christmas Shopping Show (Dec 3-6th Malvern , WR13 6NW)
At just a short drive from Ledbury, this festive shopping event is an enjoyable gathering of lots of great local stalls and producers. Besides fine food and drink, plus live music, there is a splendid Gift Fair section, arts and crafts, and also the chance for younger visitors to meet Santa and his reindeer.
The fun starts at 9:30am each day, with various finish times including late shopping hours on the Friday and Saturday. Get directions and more details HERE.

Ledbury Country Market (Dec 4th, 11th & 18th , 8:30am-1:30pm, St Katerine’s Hall, HR8 1DS)
Stock up your Christmas larder with excellent local produce of all kinds. Whether you have a taste for traditional cider, Hereford meat or freshly baked specialities, you will find it here.
